Meet Mark - Founder of S.A.G.A

Mark Abrams PhotoMark Abrams became involved with Greyhounds in 1997 after the death of one of his Collies. After meeting some greyhound dogs, he spent three weeks researching the gentle giants before taking the plunge and adopting his first Greyhound, Spikey.

It didn't take long before Mark decided to continue working with the Greyhounds to educate the public and promote their adoption/placement, while adopting more Greyhounds of his own.

By Autumn of 2002, other Greyhound adopters had encouraged Mark to make a vision of Greyhound adoption/placement into a reality and start his own group; with the overwhelming support of the people around him, the vision became a reality and S.A.G.A was born. And so the Southern Alberta Greyhound Association exists today.
