Profile:    Buckaroo is a laid back, lovable boy who likes to play, and can play hard sometimes.   He is house trained and has no issues with any type of floors, he has not been fully tested on household stairs yet.  With regards to medium sized and non-Greyhound dogs, Buck shows an interest, but it seems for the most part to be a friendly interest.  We currently do not consider Buckaroo to be small dog or cat safe.  Buckaroo does know how to sit and is pretty proud of this fact!  He is still interested in exploring everything and until he learns what he can and cannot touch close monitoring is recommended.  He can be quite pushy if he wants something so a Forever Home will need to work at correcting him.  He has been left alone with other Greyhounds for company and there has been no issues so we think he would do well with a medium size to large size canine companion.  He is quite strong and currently pulls when on walks so his Forever Home will want to work on that with him.  We believe that Buckaroo is an Alpha male and, if placed in a home with another dog, that dog would need to be submissive to him.  A home with Greyhound experience would be ideal and a home with dog experience is recommended.  Buck's Foster Home has discovered that he is highly interested in the Telus Hippo & Coke Polar Bear Commercials because whenever they come on he immediately rushes over to the TV and Growls at them.  So we will instruct any prospective Forever Home that Buck is never to be taken to the zoo or Disney Land and that they ensure he gets a dose of these commercials every so often just to keep him on his toes!  :)

Profile:   Yogi is a confident, assertive and happy boy who is very much laid back.  He was returned to SAGA due to changes in his Forever home.  He's been enjoying getting to know his Foster Sisters and, as you can see from his video (link below) has fun roo'ing while they bark along.  He's been introduced to cats and doesn't show any real interest in them.  Yogi hasn't been tested since being returned with small children but did have a child in his previous home.  Yogi is very much a people dog and enjoys both the company of his Foster family as well as other dogs, he is very affectionate and needs lots of physical attention.  He has a sensitive nature about him like an old soul and we think he will make a very nice companion for the perfect person because he deserves nothing but the best.  Yogi needs to see his Person at all times and likes to sleep on the floor next to their bed.  He is very obedient and responds well to a firm "No" when required.  He will nip if woken suddenly and doesn't like his ears played with.  He also does not like having his collar or body tugged at and will respond by bucking physically backwards so we recommend being gentle with him in this respect.  He also has a habit of taking shoes and items off the coffee table if left alone.  Watching Yogi do stairs is quite the spectacle as he doesn't walk or run them he jumps them!  So children and seniors would not be safe currently around Yogi when he is jumping stairs.  Yogi's Forever Home may need to provide a regular supply of Timbits as he has developed a taste for them!!!

Profile:   Bounty came back to SAGA after the death of his owner.  He was very much loved by his dad prior to him dying and we want to find Bounty a loving home to enjoy his twilight in.  He is a wonderfully mellow boy who is a great walker.  He enjoys a quiet home and would rather lay around all day enjoying the peace & quiet.  He is a little bit afraid of small children so a home without children or older kids (6 years +) would be necessary.  He is great around other dogs and appears to be fine around cats.  He is fully house trained and has never shown any signs of aggression. He is a huge couch hog and super affectionate and will paw at you if you stop petting him. Bounty is truly a people dog and wants to be in the same room as you and will follow you everywhere.  He appears to be very food motivated. He likes looking out the window watching as the world passes by.  He is a very sweet, gentle and mild-mannered.
