Our Mission Statement
“Our vision at SAGA, is where Greyhound
adoption is so much more than just placing
Greyhounds in adoptive homes.”
SAGA is available to educate the public about
the breed and the need for homes for these loving
companions, as well as guide a potential adopter
through the process of research, adoption and
care.

BACKGROUND OF WHERE OUR
DOGS COME FROM
All Greyhounds adopted through SAGA are born
and bred as National Greyhound Association,
Greyhounds. All have dual tattoos in their ears
which can trace their ancestry. These Greyhounds
have all been retired from their racing career.
SAGA works specifically with Kennel Owners,
Greyhound Tracks and American Adoption Groups,
throughout the United States to attain Greyhounds
in need of adoptive homes. To date we have placed
Greyhounds from Kansas, Wisconsin and Connecticut.
Post adoption care is as important to us as
finding good homes for the retired racers and we
aim to support the Greyhound and their new family
through the entire process.
SAGA is available to help with any questions or
situations that may arise as the retired racing
Greyhound adapts to their new life.
SAGA also hopes our new adopters become part of
the SAGA family and aid in promoting the adoption
of these fine companion animals.
